I did not want to use chemicals for repelling pests due to the fact that they are not healthy for human consumption and are outright dangerous to have in the home. I remembered reading about how essential oils are great for repelling pests. They are also safer than using a chemical.
I used my wild orange oil @ 15 drops to a cup of water in a glass spray bottle and sprayed all those aphids on the underside of the leaves. Looks like it worked. I can't wait to eat my fresh produce grown from my own garden. Here is a picture of my little garden here!

Note: For more specific insect problems, try mixing 8 ounces of water in a spray bottle with 1/2 teaspoon natural soap and 12 drops of essential oil from the guide below, remembering to shake the bottle frequently to keep the oil mixed with the water.
