Essential Tips For Lemon Oil!

Who doesn't like the smell of Lemon? Historically, lemon has been used to fight food poisoning, malaria and typhoid epidemics, and scurvy. Lemon has been used to lower blood pressure and to help with liver problems, arthritis, and muscular aches and pains.

Remember this Guy?

Sources say that Christopher Columbus carried lemon seeds to America- probably just the leftovers from the fruit that was eaten during the trip.
The French used Lemon medicinally as an air disinfectant, asthma, cold, fever, anemia, germicide, heartburn, gout, intestinal parasites, throat infections, red blood cell formation, rheumatism, varicose veins, water purification, white blood cell formation, and ureter infections.
Oh, the many uses of Lemon:

*Warning: Do not use Lemon Oil topically before exposure to sunlight! Some oils cause photosensitivity, which means they increase the effect of the sun on the skin. These essential oils (Angelica, Bergamot, Cumin, Grapefruit, Lemon, Lemon Verbena, Lime, Orange, Yuzu, Tangerine, Mandarin) , anything citrus,  should not be used on any exposed areas of the skin before going into the sunlight, especially by people with fair skin.

Lemon Essential Oil is an amazing cleanser and purifier, Lemon has been known to be antiviral and anti-infectious. As a result it is considered the #1 Essential Oil to kill bacteria. According to Dr. Jean Valnet, when tested against other Essential Oils for airborne germs, Lemon came out as the #1 disinfectant for the air. It will also act as an immune stimulant. Can be used in massage oils or diluted in the bath to assist with digestive problems, fatigue, infections, flu, obesity, rheumatism, depression, stress, and as a general tonic. Helps to protect against infections, aids the digestive system, soothes headaches and muscular problems, and clears greasy skin and hair.

Essential Oils Assist in Reducing Sciatic Pain!

The sciatic nerve is the thickest nerve in the body.  Has anyone ever experienced this pain? It's the leg pain that radiates down from the hip and can be simply annoying or debilitating. Today we will learn how essential oils can help to ease the discomfort of this age-old complaint.

True sciatic pain occurs when one or more of the lower lumbar (L3, L4, L5) or upper sacral (S1, S2) nerves are compressed or impinged, due to injury of a vertebral disc.

When the nerve becomes impinged it becomes inflamed, which results in debilitating pain. Touch therapies may actually make this pain worse and one way to effectively ease the pain is through the use of essential oils.   This can be done by applying a mixture of essential oils mixed with a carrier oil such as, coconut, olive, almond, grapeseed, or jojoba oil, to the painful area. You can also use an essential oil hot compress applied to the painful area.

Some of the oils I recommend are:

Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus radiata) - also known as a decongestant and germicide, eucalyptus is an effective analgesic.

German Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) - also known as a powerful anti-inflammatory. It also helps to stimulate the production of red blood cells. German chamomile is an anti-spasmotic and analgesic (pain reliever) * Note: Chamomile is also know for being sedative, and not to be used if you have to drive.   Interesting fact: Matricaria comes from the Latin matrix meaning "Womb", because of it's widespread use by women with gynecological conditions.

Cypress Oil (Cupressus sempervirens)- Cypress oil comes from the leaves, needles and cones of the Mediterranean Cypress trees of Europe. It is know to stimulate blood circulation and used as a powerful astringent. Like german chamomile it is also an anti-spasmotic and often used to relieve cramps, sprains and strains due to athletic injuries and to relieve the pain of rheumatoid arthritis. Interesting Facts: The tree gave its name to the island of Cypress. The cross of Jesus is known to be made of cypress.

These essential oils should not be applied directly to the skin, but added to a massage oil or carrier oil as noted above.  If using as a compress add four drops each of Cypress, Eucalyptus, and Chamomile to one teaspoon of carrier oil, then add the mixture to a small bowl of very warm water. Use a washcloth to absorb the liquid. Wring out the washcloth and apply to the area of pain. Remove when the compress becomes cool and repeat.

As a pain- relieving bath, 10 drops of essential oil can be added to warm water. Soak your body for no more than 15-20 minutes.

If you are ready to take control of your health, consider the beauty of the WholeBodyTM Collection is that it's a simple, quick, and life-transforming way to introduce people to Independently Certified Pure Therapeutic Essential Oils and their ability to assist with pain relief and restoring balance to the body.

Remember to use high quality essential oils for therapeutic use.

You do not need to suffer in pain. Relief is possible! Make sure you report to your doctor if you experience any severe debilitating pain and let your doctor know that you are using essential oils for pain relief.

Many Blessings,
~

A Natural Alternative To Synthetic Drugs!

Synthetic drugs create a high risk of side effects. Our biggest drug problem lies in prescription drug abuse. According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse; "The biggest and fastest growing part of America's drug problem is prescription drug abuse."

Has anyone had experience with a family member or friend with a dependency and or addiction to a prescribed drug? As a child growing up, I thought my mother's medicine was safe. Well it came from the doctor , so it must be safe right? Well then as a teenager, things became worse. Family life started to deteriorate. As an adult child I then started to take over her and my father's health care. I was not happy with the health care they received and It was only masking the symptoms , not really curing or helping them become healthier.

After losing my father to diabetes and heart disease, I started to take a more holistic approach to my own health care, applying these changes to my family with the hopes that they would adopt a healthier lifestyle.

I apply the holistic approach wherever and whenever I can. Of course we still go to the doctor, just not as often.

I highly encourage you to learn how to take a more natural approach to your health care. Your lifestyle choices can help prevent disease! Remember that your Doctor treats symptoms and fixes broken parts! Your body Cures disease! Just give it what it needs!

Here is your invitation to alternative health and wellness! I present to you The seven WholeBodyTM System Essential Oil Blends.

When Life Throws A Punch!

During the past year I have dealt with a tremendous amount of stress. Life has thrown some punches, and I know many of you can relate without going into major details; Stress is stress, period!  However, instead of getting down into the dumps , I discovered new ways to succeed and battle with the every day stressor's of life. Many of the topics here in my blog express the many ways to reduce that stress helping us all to live happier and healthier lives.

This morning I woke up to a Facebook post by Brian Tracy, here it is:

Much of your ability to succeed comes from the way you deal with life and manage stress. One of the characteristics of superior men and women is that they recognize the inevitability of temporary disappointments and defeats, and they accept them as a normal and natural part of life. They do everything possible to avoid problems, but when problems come, superior people respond with a positive attitude, learn from them, and keep moving forward in the direction of their dreams.

There is a natural tendency in all of us to react emotionally when our expectations are frustrated in any way. When something we wanted and hoped for fails to materialize, we feel a temporary sense of disappointment and unhappiness. We feel disillusioned and react as though we have been punched in the “emotional solar plexus”.

Are you with only those who bring put the best in you?

When you stress less you improve your immunity!

You are the best! You are enough!
